Moonlight and Music

We had fun with ideas here and they include stamping feet in La Cumparsita, quotes from The Magnificent Seven in Long Ago and Far Away,  and sounds of the sirens and fog of the blitz at the start of Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye.

The cd title is taken from the lyrics of the opening track – “There May be Trouble Ahead, But While There’s Moonlight and Music and Love and Romance, Let’s Face the Music and Dance” – a great tune and admirable sentiments! We hope you enjoy our versions of these lovely songs.

“I’d like to very strongly recommend this remarkable string duo cd which is delivered with consummate skill and style and beautifully recorded. Joanna and Roger bring to their playing a fun, unfusty fluency that makes every number a delight. While supplying splendid background music, the arrangements really need to be carefully and smilingly appreciated one by one. As a similarly trained classical violinist my admiration almost borders on the envious for their combined elan and skill.”  David Bateman, Professional Concert Violinist and Teacher
