The key is D minor. Turbulent quavers at the start give the feeling of a journey, there’s a contrasting middle section in the major and a bleak, lonely ending.

    I enjoyed playing this piece as I found it flowing melodiously. I even enjoyed playing the chords and double stoppings (which I hate normally) as they were arranged in places where I could manage them.
